Amy's Bookshelf Reviews is a not-for-profit business, as Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews does NOT charge for reviews. Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews has very specific rules and policies. Amy's Bookshelf has only ONE book reviewer. All reviews are unbiased and honest opinions of Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.

Review Policy Update:
The following places for me to post a review has a required $5 donation (and if the site requires a purchase, such as Smashwords, the cost of the book) per post.
BOOKSHELVES:
Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews has set a new policy for prioritizing reviews. Details for each of the bookshelves are on the bookshelf's section. The following book review requests and the bookshelves priority is as follows:
1- RAPID REVIEW REQUEST
This shelf is another special request shelf, but it allows the requestor to have their book read, reviewed, and the review posted within a specific amount of time.
2- RELEASE DATE REVIEW REQUEST and EXPRESS RELEASE REVIEW REQUEST
Release Date Reviews: Require a 2-month advance request.
Express Release Date Reviews: The donation and posting dates are the same.
3- SPECIAL REQUEST BOOKSHELF:
There is a minimum donation of $20 dollars per title on the list, plus the cost of the book, if
the author wants it to be a verified purchase. A Copy of the review will also be posted on The Official Blog of Amy Shannon Also, authors that have purchased a Special Request Bookshelf pass, if they want a release date review, they only need to request a review within 30 days.
4- PRIORITY ACCESS BOOKSHELF (And Priority Access Pass):
Priority Access Passes are for those authors who had paid to be on the now defunct Priority Bookshelf. Others may receive this, if they are referred to by listed Legacy Friend (and it can be confirmed) that is shown below. This is for the Priority Access Bookshelf, where there is no requirement for a donation, but it is always appreciated. Also, authors that have purchased a Priority Access Bookshelf pass, if they want a release date review, they only need to request a review within 30 days.
5- VIP LEGACY AUTHOR BOOKSHELF
This bookshelf is for authors who have previously had at least one review posted from Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews.
6-AUDIOBOOKS BOOKSHELF

RELEASE DATE REVIEWS BOOKSHELF AND CALENDAR:

AMAZON.COM POLICY!
VERIFIED PURCHASES: Bookshelf items marked with #V refer to it being a verified purchase. Books can no longer be "gifted." Books do NOT have to be verified purchases to have a review. Verified purchases do not have a limit of how many reviews can be posted per week, but unverified purchases do, and this impacts how many reviews can be posted per week.
NOTICE! Once Amy's Bookshelf Reviews posts the reviews on the various sites, the post going live is not the responsibility of Amy's Bookshelf Reviews, it is the site's. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews will let the author know when the review for Amazon.com has been posted. Sometimes it takes a few minutes, and it can take longer, days or even weeks. I will keep checking the reviews, but ultimately, though i have posted it, I cannot guarantee that Amazon will allow it to go live, or not take time posting it.
UNVERIFIED PURCHASE reviews do NOT get deleted by Amazon, but reviews written incorrectly or those that are reported as abuse may. According to Amazon, reviews are only discussed with the reviewers, and sometimes Amazon allows the reviewer to repost the review.
MY PROCESS:
A review is posted, it takes about 60 minutes for the entire process to be complete for one review. (This time does not include the time it takes to read the book and write a review.) Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews does NOT accept payment for reviews. Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews reviews are unbiased and honest. Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews accepts donations or gift cards but not for the exchange of a specific type of review. Donations are NOT considered payment for providing a review and Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews DOES NOT allow the amount of the donation (if there is one) to influence the star rating in any way.
Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews is a proud supporter of the Indie Author Community.
Google Drive: Once a file has been uploaded, it gets moved to a private folder, so no one else but Amy's Bookshelf Reviews can access it.

Just a note that, the official request starts when Amy's Bookshelf Reviews receives the Spreadsheet. However, the receipt of the digital copy of the book (even if Amy's Bookshelf Reviews is purchasing the book on Amazon or receiving a gift of a print book), that date is the initial posting date. This only really refers to Rapid Release, Express Release Dates, and Release Day Reviews.
Rapid Review Request: Allows the requestor to have their book read, reviewed, and the review posted within a specific amount of time. The donation requirements are listed below and this ONLY applies to books that have been published within the past years’ time. (This is NOT for release date review requests). Publishers for Rapid Review Requests
You can make your payment here (when instructed) for the amount required to have your review done either from the Rapid Review or the Special Requests page
Minimum donation required $20 plus the cost of the author's book(s). This donation is NOT paying for the review. (Authors who are new to the Amy's Bookshelf Reviews, and want a review, can be added to this bookshelf, if they meet the minimum donation requirements, can request a review and it will be added to this Bookshelf, and the minimum donation is the cost of the book plus $1.) The titles will be cycled, so if there are books by the same author, the first one will be read, and then the second one (and others if there are), will be moved to the bottom of the list and be reviewed when it goes back to the top. This bookshelf takes priority over the other bookshelves, except for the Release Date Reviews, and Rapid Review Bookshelf. A Copy of the Review will also be put on The Official Blog of Author Amy Shannon.
A Special Request Pass can be purchased by either a new or a legacy author, to always have a place on this bookshelf, as long as Amy's Bookshelf Reviews is still in business. The cost for a Special Request Pass is $150, so if you're interested in one, (and think about how many books you write and want reviewed by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews) email amysbookshelfreviews@gmail.com You will be invoiced for the Pass from Essence Enterprise's PayPal account, and once payment is received you will receive the pass. (Nontransferable). (Even with the new policy of not accepting new author requests, this pass or this bookshelf will accept new author requests ONLY).
If you purchase a Special Request Pass, and you have an upcoming release, you do not have to abide by the 2-months in advance policy or pay for an Express Release. You will get it if the review request is at least 30 days in advance of its release.
Legacy Authors
--------------------------------------------------------
The Priority Access Bookshelf is a carry over from the Priority Bookshelf. This bookshelf does not require a donation (though donations are greatly appreciated). There are several reasons why someone would be on this list, one is that they purchased a lifetime on the old Priority Bookshelf, and two, that the author was referred to Amy's Bookshelf Reviews by one of the publishers on the list. Exceptions may be done on an author-to-author basis. Do not assume that I won't review your work because you can or won't do a donation. It never hurts to ask.
Priority Access Pass: Priority Access Passes are for those authors who had paid to be on the now defunct Priority Bookshelf. Others may receive this, if they are referred to by listed Legacy Friend (and it can be confirmed) that is shown below. Also, authors that have purchased a Priority Access Bookshelf pass, if they want a release date review, they only need to request a review within 30 days.
Cycling: This Bookshelf does do cycling. When authors' titles are placed together (even if they are requested at various times. When the first book is reviewed, and removed from the list, the other author's books that follow go to the bottom of the bookshelf and work their way up again.

The genres are listed by each book title in between the / /. (F=Fiction, NF= Nonfiction, P= Poetry) The titles on this bookshelf are cycled. If an author has more than one title on the bookshelf, all of the titles are listed together, but when one book’s review is posted, the other titles go to the bottom of the bookshelf. Even if an author has a request for one title, and then later decides to add another title, the second title will go under the current author’s title, and then be cycled.
Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews does listen to and reviews audiobooks. If a print book has already been read, the posting of the audiobook review is a separate review, since there are other things to review such as narration. Audiobooks listed on Audible.com requires either a redemption code or a donation for the cost of the book. Spotify only allows a star rating, not a review posted. The link to the audiobook can be shared on Facebook, and the entire review posted for that date. These books also move in a cyclical motion.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Books listed on this bookshelf are from Amy's Personal library.
These books are reviewed in order.
If a book is from the Banned, Burned, Challenged or Controversial List, there will be a #BB next to it. The full list of Banned, Burned, Challenged and Controversial books is listed on the Banned Books page. Banned, Burned, Challenged and Controversial books will be discussed on different episodes of Amy's Bookshelf Reviews Podcast.
