As a self-employed, disabled person, my business is Essence Enterprises with all my other services under that as subsidiaries.  So, if you receive an invoice, make a payment or make a donation, it will say Essence Enterprises.

DO NOT SEND ANY DONATIONS OR PURCHASE ANY AUTHOR PROMOTION, INCLUDING VIDEO REVIEWS, UNTIL YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY REQUESTED A REVIEW, AND THE REQUEST WAS APPROVED.

A review request is "Official" once Amy's Bookshelf Reviews received the digital file of the book. 

When providing any information, check for typos and spelling errors before sending. 

Book Lengths: Amy's Bookshelf Reviews reads and reviews short stories and novellas (word count does not matter). Amy's Bookshelf Reviews reads children's picture books and Graphic Novels. Amy's Bookshelf Reviews reads and review novels, nonfiction books, Epic Novels, educational textbooks, and basically, as long as the book is one of the accepted genres, any size, any word count. Heck, if you want a review on a flash fiction story for your website, Amy's Bookshelf Reviews will do that, too. 

"No Fly Zone"

The "NO FLY ZONE" of Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. If anyone misrepresents themselves or lie about anything (I'm not talking about errors or mistakes), that person's name will be banned. I also do not accept requests from unscrupulous authors, author representatives, or publishers. I get a lot of information and have a lot of contacts, so if there are unscrupulous persons out there, I usually find out about them, or have experience with them. 

NOTICE: Changes to Amy's Bookshelf Reviews

There are MAJOR CHANGES coming to Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews. Starting November 1, 2024, Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews will no longer accept review requests, unless they are RELEASE DATE, EXPRESS RELEASE, or Review Tier (Plus or Premium) requests. 

The current tiers show a basic, which is the regular review request, without any promotions. This basic tier will no longer be available as of November 1, 2024. (The below Tiers currently shown, will change as of November 1, 2024. 

As of January 1, 2026, Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews will no longer accept review requests, unless they are part of the Review Tier (Plus or Premium) requests. The only items in Amy's Library will be the Release Date Calendar, Priority Access Bookshelf, and Legacy Author Bookshelf. 

The book titles that are currently on the bookshelves will be read, reviewed, and posted. If an author has more than one book on the list, there won’t be the cyclical movement of the titles, the book titles of the same author will be read, reviewed and posted, consecutively.

A reminder that Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews no longer can post reviews on Amazon.com, and any attempt at my appeals to Amazon, have gone unnoticed and unchanged. Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews will continue to be posted on Barnes and Noble, Goodreads, Kobo/Walmart, BookBub, Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews website, and the publisher’s website (if those sites have the title listed, without a required donation). The review will also be shared on X and Facebook.

Review Request Types:

Release Date Reviews: A review that will be done and posted on its release date. A 2-month (not days) advanced notice.  (Example: Request in June, earliest date for request in August).

Express Releases Date Reviews: A review that will be done and posted on its release date. However, it is under the 2-month advanced notice, so a donation is required based on the number of DAYS until its release date.  

• Requests that are more than one month, but less than two months require a $40 donation. 
• Express Priority: 15 posting days- 29 posting days before release - $50 (US)
• Express Preferred: 6 days to 14 days before release- $75 (US)
• Express Immediate: 1 day to 5 posting dates before release-$100 (US)
• Express Instant: Less than 24 hours release- $150.00 (US)

NOTICE: For Book Length (number of pages), for up to every 49 pages after 300 pages, there is a $10 additional cost.

Example: 301-350 pages add $10, 351-400 add $20. 

RAPID REVIEW REQUEST

Rapid Review Request: Allows the requestor to have their book read, reviewed, and the review posted within a specific amount of time. The donation requirements are listed below and this ONLY applies to books that have been published within the past years’ time. (This is NOT for release date review requests).

• Rapid Review Calendar Date Request: ONE to SIX month window. ($25, cost of purchase of book, plus $1). You select the date your book's review will be posted. 
• Rapid Review Select Request: 6 posting days to 29 posting days - $75 (US)
• Rapid Review Choice Request: 1 posting day to 5 posting dates -$100 (US)
• Rapid Review Prompt Request: Less than 24 hours - $150.00 (US)

NOTICE: For Book Length (number of pages), for up to every 49 pages after 300 pages, there is a $10 additional cost.

Example: 301-350 pages add $10, 351-400 add $20. 

THE SPECIAL REQUEST BOOKSHELF

The Special Request allows the requestor to have their book read, reviewed and the review posted, with no restraints on when the book was published. However, there is a minimum donation fee (unless the author or representative is on the exceptions list) of $20 plus the cost of the book (plus $1). There are restrictions and exceptions to being on this bookshelf. 

• It's on an author-to-author basis. 
• Any of my clients that I have done publishing, editing or formatting for in the past or present, will be able to have their book listed here. 
• Though there is a minimum donation required for Special Requests, there is also a Priority Access Pass that is given to authors, on an author-to-author basis. (A new shelf called Priority Access). 

A Special Request Pass can be purchased by either a new or a legacy author, to always have a place on this bookshelf, as long as Amy's Bookshelf Reviews is still in business. The cost for a Special Request Pass is $150, so if you're interested in one, (and think about how many books you write and want reviewed by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews) email amysbookshelfreviews@gmail.com  You will be invoiced for the Pass from Essence Enterprise's PayPal account, and once payment is received you will receive the pass. (Nontransferable).

PRIORITY ACCESS BOOKSHELF.

The Priority Access Bookshelf is a carry over from the Priority Bookshelf. This bookshelf does not require a donation (though donations are greatly appreciated). There are several reasons why someone would be on this list, one is that they purchased a lifetime on the old Priority Bookshelf, and two, that the author was referred to Amy's Bookshelf Reviews by one of the publishers on the list. Exceptions may be done on an author-to-author basis. Do not assume that I won't review your work because you can or won't do a donation. It never hurts to ask. 

AUTHOR REFERRALS:

For authors who are sending other author referrals (authors who have not had a review done by Amy's bookshelf Reviews). If you will be referring authors to Amy's Bookshelf Reviews, contact Amy via email amysbookshelfreviews@gmail.com and request an author specific referral code. You get the code, and when you refer an author, give them the code. You do not need to use the code for yourself. 

VIP LEGACY AUTHOR BOOKSHELF

This bookshelf is for authors who have previously had at least one review posted from Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews. The titles on this bookshelf are cycled. If an author has more than one title on the bookshelf, all of the titles are listed together, but when one book’s review is posted, the other titles go to the bottom of the bookshelf. Even if an author has a request for one title, and then later decides to add another title, the second title will go under the current author’s title, and then be cycled. 

AUDIOBOOK REQUESTS

If the book is being released in an audiobook, Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews would like to listen to the book and write a review to reflect not just the story but the audiobook itself. 

• A redemption code or a donation made in order to purchase the audiobook if it is listed on Audible.com.  Audible requires that books be purchased and listened to completely in order to post a review. 
• If the audiobook is on Scribd.com, the cost is $11.00. 
• If the book is listed on Spotify, the app only allows for a rating, not a review. (In case of the reviews being posted, it would be on the Amy's Bookshelf Reviews website, and the link to it on Spotify would be shared on Facebook with the review posted there as well. The review on Amy's Bookshelf Reviews website will be shared on Twitter.)

The email you send asking for a request, please make sure the font is at least 12 pts, but not bigger than 14 pts. Smaller text and very large text is hard for me to read. Also, do not send me information in all caps or all lowercase letters. Please use proper case. Thank you.
